Cut is the most important item in the 4C, which refers to the mutual radiance of the cut surface of the diamond and the light. It is determined by symmetry, proportion accuracy and polish. Compared to any other factor, the cut can highlight the exquisiteness of the diamond.

If the diamond is poorly cut, even if it has a higher color and clarity grade, it still looks bleak. If the diamond is cut well, the brightness and brilliance of the diamond can be fully released

What factors affect the quality of diamond cut?

Cut is the only standard in 4C that is affected by the craftsman’s skills. Two diamonds may have the same clarity, color, and carat weight, but the cut determines the superiority of a diamond compared to other diamonds. In short, the cut determines the quality and brilliance of the diamond. There are three factors that determine a diamond's cut:

Cutting accuracy

How size and angle relate to different parts of the diamond

Symmetry

How the diamond's different facets are precisely aligned and interlaced

Degree of polish

The details and layout of the cut surface shape and the external polishing of the diamond

The industry's higher cut grade-the three-class diamonds have reached the "premium" level in cutting accuracy, symmetry and polishing.
